SEVEN PICKS · POINTS FOR CORRECT CALLS
How Clarus scoring works
Clarus rewards correct predictions. Less likely outcomes earn more points when you call them correctly. The points displayed before locking are base points, before any Crystal Ball multiplier.
The formula
Base points = 10 + (100 − the likelihood percentage of your chosen outcome).
For YES, use the YES percentage. For NO, use the NO percentage. A correct 30% call earns 80 points; a correct 70% call earns 40 points. Points are fixed when you lock your Seven, even if probabilities later change.
| Chosen likelihood | Base points | Active Crystal Ball |
|---|---|---|
| 70% | 40 | 80 |
| 50% | 60 | 120 |
| 30% | 80 | 160 |
Crystal Ball and Backup Ball
Choose one pick as your Crystal Ball: it earns double its base points if correct. Choose a different pick as your Backup Ball. If the Crystal Ball is VOID, the double-points multiplier moves to the Backup Ball. An incorrect Crystal Ball earns zero and does not activate the backup.
Incorrect, VOID and pending
Incorrect and VOID picks earn zero. Pending picks have no awarded points yet. If both your Crystal Ball and Backup Ball are VOID, neither earns points. Accuracy excludes pending and VOID picks.
Weekly results and election results
In the weekly game, a question still unresolved at its gameweek end is VOID. The election special has separate rules: its entry deadline does not force unresolved questions to become VOID. Election standings remain provisional while selected questions are pending.
Read the weekly rules or read the Midterms Special rules before locking an entry.
